Winter Bazaar

I am a member of the International Women’s Club of Moldova. We put on a Winter Charity Bazaar to raise money for Orphanages and a Children’s tuberculosis hospital. It was on December 5th and was a great success.  Booths from all the embassies and international organizations with delicacies and gifts as well as craft booths, photos with Santa, second-hand swap&shop (where we bought some much needed children’s items) an entertainment stage and multiple rounds of raffle prizes. We won a Thomas the Train station with train cars and connecting track pieces. Hello Christmas present. We also won a flight tour of Chisinau on a light aircraft which had many raffle tickets in it’s canister so we are very lucky to have won it.  It is truly serendipitous (or too divinely perfect to be accidental) that we should win this prize as it will allow for great ideal footage for the documentary.

It was a good day and a great evening of out with friends at an authentic Greek restaurant, ‘Opa’. Our friend Robin reserved the best table as she knows the owner and we enjoyed rich conversation with her and Amy. Chloe was prompted to finish eating and ‘be in the clean plate club’ to which she said “I’m in the dirty plate club.”  Adorable handful.

It was a big production resulting in a very nice event for a great cause.
